Hot Fudge Cream Puff Ring

Ingredients:
Puffs
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 Tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
Filling
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 5 oz. box instant vanilla pudding
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
Hot fudge
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 T. salted butter
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • ½ teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 Tablespoons Hot Water, may need a little more
Optional: cherries and sprinkles for decorations
Instructions:
Puffs
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Trace 7 inch plate on parchment and lay on baking pan.
  3. Heat water and butter and bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in flour, forming a ball.
  5. Remove heat and place in electric mixer.
  6. Add eggs one at a time.
  7. Use an ice cream scoop to make small mounds of dough around the circle.
  8. Bake 45-50 mins.
  9. Cool, use serated knife to cut off tops carefully.
Filling
  1. Beat all until thick and a bit firm.
  2. Pipe into each puff or just scoop in.
  3. Place the tops back on.
Hot fudge
  1. Microwave chocolate and butter until melted.
  2. Sift in powdered sugar and vanilla.
  3. Slowly add water until the consistency you want for drizzling.
  4. Drizzle over the cream puff tops.
  5. Pipe on a little more cream and top with cherries and sprinkles, if desired!
